Calidea Primitivo 2023

Primitivo is Puglia's signature red grape, genetically related to Zinfandel, and this bottling from Italy's sun-baked southern heel shows the variety's generous, ripe character. Expect dark plum, blackberry and a touch of dried fig, with soft, velvety tannins and a warm, rounded finish. A full-bodied, food-friendly red suited to roasted meats, aged cheeses or hearty pasta dishes.
